Gen Y: We Care Project Overview

Youth play a vital role as community leaders today and in the future. In 2009, we worked with Thrive! Canada to develop the Gen Y: We Care program. This youth development program equips local stakeholder communities, many of which are Aboriginal, with the tools to empower children and youth to become agents of influence and change. It has a three-fold focus, which includes:

• Community training sessions.
• Corporate sponsorship of the delivery of innovative community-based youth programming.
• A Community Champions network.
