Land & Biodiversity

While ConocoPhillips Canada does not currently operate in the Arctic, we recently completed a study program to evaluate the potential for oil development at the Amauligak offshore field. Onshore, we remain the primary interest holder for a natural gas field at Parsons Lake. While development of these assets is not currently planned, any future operations in the Arctic will be designed to reduce the footprint of our facilities and minimize our impacts on biodiversity. To help accomplish these objectives, we support or conduct various environmental monitoring and environmental research initiatives.
